Rocking The Daisies 2022 Is Happening In Both Cape Town & Joburg

Popular South African music festival, Rocking the Daises returns this October, after a two-year hiatus.

News broke on Thursday morning that the festival will be making a return and will be in two Major cities.

This will be the first time since 2019 that the concert goes on, it was cancelled for the past two year due to Covid-19.

Covid government regulations on events and the number of people attending was another reason why the event couldn’t go on.

However, the event planners say that covid protocols will be observed and attendees will have to follow them.

“As it stands, you’ll need to bring a negative covid test or proof of vaccination.”

With their new sponsor Johnny Walker, the festival promises to be one for the books.

“Look, in the past 2 years you said some things, we said some things…” tweeted the team.

“It got a little crazy at times, but none of it matters now cos WE’RE BACK, BABY!”

Rocking the Daisies will take place in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, however those in Cape Town are in for a larger experience.

The fun starts early in the Cape as the festival will be a three-day event instead of one in Joburg.

From the 7^th to the 9^th of October 2022, Rocking the Daisies will kick off at Cloof Wine Estate, just outside Cape Town.

Joburg sees the event taking place on 9 October 2022 at the SuperSport Park.

The short answer is yes.

Music lovers who had held on to the tickets of the previously cancelled shows both in Joburg and Cape Town don’t have to buy new ones.

The old tickets can be used this year.

“Your festival ticket for the Cape Town or Johannesburg show has been rolled over to 2022.”

Ticket holders will be able to download their new ticket from their Quicket profile.

What is even more exciting is that they will also receive a free gift from H&M courtesy of Rocking the Daisies.

Tickets to attend the event aren’t yet available for purchase.

However, the good news is that they will be available for purchase on Quicket in a few weeks’ time.

“We are all kind of excited to announce that phase 1 tickets will go on sale at 09h00 on Thursday, 26 May 2022.”

This will be for both the Cape Town and Joburg leg of the festival.

Ticket prices have not yet been announced but the weekend pass used to be under R1000.

Camping or Glamping tickets will also go on sale on May 26.

The Lineup for Rocking The Daisies 2022 hasn’t been announced yet, however keep coming back to this article as more information will be added.

However, Stormzy and Ari Lennox were some of the artists that were announced in the past two years who never made it to perform.

It is also unclear whether they might still be coming to this year’s event.
